What are Accredited
Practicing Dietitians?
Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APD) are recognised health professionals who have the qualifications and expertise to provide accurate nutrition and dietary advice.
Dietitians have completed at least 4 years of university study on nutrition, biochemistry, physiology and human health. They are trained to understand the effect that different diets have on health.
Dietitians help people achieve optimal nutritional health. APDs apply the science of human nutrition, knowledge of food and motivational skills, to help people attain and maintain good health.
Dietitans understand that every person is an individual with particular needs that require a personalised health management plan.
